Still in Ireland - Won't be leaving quite yet

Midwatch repairs were, essentially, finished last week. Like much of the past month and a half, this week's weather has been unsettled. We did have one stretch about two weeks ago that, had we been finished, we could have set off for Spain but other than those few days it has been windy and rainy and not a sunny, Sunday sail. We have been watching carefully the past week and a half and up until last night thought we might actually be leaving this week. We awoke this morning to this forecasted storm and have decided that we are ok waiting another week. We will continue to think good thoughts and await the westerlies that my optimistic imagination has told me will follow.

 

This is the first time we have seen a number punched in off the scale. Anna did the math and calculated that this puts some waves above the top of Midwatch's mast.
